For most people, their 15 minutes of fame end right after the 15 minutes. But for SaaS businesses, these 15 minutes of fame can cause a lifetime of new customers. Media coverage can significantly boost the success of a product launch. While PR pitches for a SaaS product are a challenging task, it has too many benefits to not use in your product launch.

Common elements in PR pitch samples

There will be a few common elements in every PR pitch template. Each element is very important to enhance the impact of your product launch. Therefore, take enough time out of your schedule to draft several pitches and then pick the best one.

 

PR Pitching for SaaS and B2B

1. Headline

Your headline should be distinct. Either include your company name or the name of the product. The headlines should make it clear what the purpose of the product/service is.

 

2. Subheading

This is an expansion on the headline. You can include a key benefit or feature of your product to entice viewers to continue reading.

 

3. Body

This is where the main content of the PR pitch goes. Explain the product, what it does, and who it is aimed at. List the features, benefits, and other elements of the product/service.

 

4. Images

Do not use stock images in your PR pitch for your product launch. The press release of your product is like its resume. So, invest as much time and capital as you can to craft the best PR pitch possible. Using stock images will make it seem like an unprofessional job and it will negatively affect your chances of coverage.

 

5. Contact information

Do not forget to add the contact information for the person handling the PR pitching of the product launch. This person will liaison between the company and the press. Hence, they should know the product inside out since the press will ask questions about the product.
